About Me:

Hello. My name is Mathew. I live in Los Angeles with my beautiful wife Nola and our youngest daughter, Kaylin. (Our other two (adult) daughters, Sarah and Emily, live in Canada.) Up until a few years ago, I had a thriving freelance career in film production, having spent 25 years working hard and climbing the professional ladder. But truth be told, I spent a majority of those years feeling frustrated, angry and depressed. You see, when I was 23 years old, a Celestial Being materialized one day in a room with me. It was truly a miraculous and incredible experience, however, I had a difficult time integrating this experience into my “normal” life. I felt burdened; like there was something I needed to be doing (as a result of the visitation), only I didn't know what. Thus, for the next 23 years, when no other visitations occurred, I often felt like a prisoner to a life that wasn't mine; like I didn't belong in the world; like I was a stranger in a strange land. Furthermore, my situation was made worse by the fact that my mind sat in constant judgment over my feelings, telling me that my depression and alienation were signs that (a) I was crazy, or (b) I simply wasn't smart enough to figure out how to find the life I was supposed to be living. Clearly, these were not happy years for me or my family. Nevertheless, I was the sole wage earner in my household and because I didn't know what else to do to earn a living, or how to make myself feel better, I carried on with life as best I could. I prayed for help on a regular basis, and I periodically attended a non-denominational spiritual group called Subud (which I joined shortly after the celestial visitation – and, incidentally, it helped ground me), until finally, in 2000, my spirit guide introduced himself one day through stream of consciousness writing. A few years later, feeling compelled to ask questions about angels, my spirit guide introduced me to my guardian angel. And that was pretty much the turning point for me. Because from that moment on, I was blessed to receive a steady diet of guidance that not only taught, but encouraged me to walk The Path; that is, the most direct route to The Life Intended. Given all those years of alienation and depression, I guess it shouldn't have come as such a surprise that the most direct route to joy and fulfillment would exclude my freelance work! But that seems to be the way things are working out. Because ever since I found the passion to diligently follow my heart, I stopped attracting the work I used to get. And that's where I find myself today; dealing with faith and patience at every turn as I repurpose and reprogram my life.
